There is still a lot of work to be done and maybe Amorim still hasn't received much pressure in the two matches that have taken place because they are facing much weaker opponents. If you pay attention, there are still many weaknesses in the defense line because even though they managed to score goals, their defense is so easily passed by opposing players that it doesn't take long for the opponent to score a goal. From the two matches that took place, I saw that there was no good coordination between the defense lines and they even had a lot of difficulty covering the gaps when the opponent started to counterattack.
Currently, Manchester united defense is the major problem that they are having since Ten Hag time till date. This is why you see that sharp attackers breakthrough easily and find the back of the net, United should be happy that Onana is always confidently waiting on his spot to stop any ball coming into the goal post. A lot needs to be put together in the team starting from the defense to the strikers.
This has been a problem for many years, even on the season they were third they had a bad defense, and last season they had one of the worst and this season it's getting even worse. I kept seeing them getting offensive players and I went mad every single time, they should have bought some players that would have made the defense better. The only defender they got was Leny Yoro, who has been missing every game so far this season, he was estimated to return start of this month but he missed his mark by a full month so far, lets see when he will come back.
So basically, they haven't had any defensive transfer so far this season at all, just one that has been missing, nothing more. To think that a single player, even if healthy, could change this defense completely and make them better, is delusional, there is no way that Yoro could come here, and make such a huge defensive change. Maguire is out too but I am not sure if that's a bad thing or a good thing lol.
