Many new investors in bitcoin have thoughts like that, so in essence this is no longer strange. However, in my opinion, at a stage like this, there are some bitcoin investors who give up without learning, but there are also those who dig up information and are also on the right track in investing in bitcoin. So I mean there are quite a lot of beginner investors like this who finally realize their mistakes and learn about bitcoin investment properly. However, there are also those who give up and do not continue investing in bitcoin because they experience losses (due to panic seeing the fall in the price of bitcoin and immediately selling it). But that is the reality that is happening right now and I think this is a valuable lesson for all of us. Because people who see Bitcoin as an investment asset that can get quick profits will definitely not have a smooth journey in their investment.
The thing is some investors fail to understand that Bitcoin investment has a concept and that concept has to be followed to do things right, that's why many stop half way because of what I see as excuse and inability to learn how to follow up in the system, in Bitcoin investment we have what we call accumulation stage, at this stage nothing should hinder an investor from accumulating with what he can affordbhence he or she is prepared, the price of bitcoin may depreciate but it doesn't mean that it won't rise again so what's the need for one to be looking at the price or even looking his or her portfolio at this stage when such individuals are to utilized such opportunity to keep DCAIng aggressively or even buy in lump sum although an investor can also buy in lump sum anytime as far as the the lump amount is available, though sometimes this things happen as a result of ignorance, some beginers are somuch in a haste to make immediate profit which is why they fail to get it right, this make them to regret later.
The problem with most beginners is that the mindset the came with to Bitcoin investment is not for ong-term stuff as such the feel bad when things go the other way round because of their inability to keep accumulating and hodling for a long-term, those people that loss are more like traders because panic sell is not for Bitcoin investment, why panic when the future is bright for bitcoin, i hope newbies and some old folk keep to the rules of this investment to avoid making some regrettable mistakes.
