Instincts are full of emotions that’s why I don’t let my instincts rule over my critical thinking, that will only lead me to greater losses based on my personal experience. However, there are also times that we are already betting based on the command of our instincts unconsciously, something that we can’t do nothing about it. But as much as possible, if you want to bet and maximize your profits, it’s better to bet based on your real analysis and deep assessment on the game, most particularly in sports betting.
But sometimes we can let ourselves follow our instincts to make decisions because that is happened to me before. When I am confused about which team I need to pick, I let my instinct to choose after I am quiet for some time. But that will not happen too often as I realize that when picking our choice, we will need to use analysis and find more information. That will give us the chance to win and not have to listen to our instincts. But I heard that some people often listen to their instincts to make decisions although they already use their skills to analyze. However, the outcome will depend on their luck.

Yes, that means instinct can be used as a second option when you are really confused in making decisions especially when you do not know which team is far superior, I have also done it when I bet on a match where both teams are really in good form, but of course when you use instinct then you must be really aware of the risks, or you must be really able to account for whatever the results are especially defeat because usually the instinct is 50-50 between winning and losing, but of course as you said if for example we feel able to analyze the match then it is better to avoid using instinct.
