He'd what? he literally took the attention of many by having this thread. While the fact that he can use phones and still have internet connection. With most of the jails that I know don't allow usage of such so, he's quite privileged while being detained.
First, he probably knows that most members on this forum do not fancy Bitget, which will be a good point to call many people's attention.
Secondly, he is trying to advertise his course, which he knows this exchange will be another attention-caller or entry point.
Third, internet and mobile phones in jail? Even CZ wasn't allowed to use one
I believe this thread is just for a Udemy course promotion, but because some users want to attack that exchange, it will surely get some replies in favor of the topic.
Good points, with all that you've said. Only he will know if he's telling the truth. If this thread was made to just with some made-story against that exchange, it's on him. But for the benefit of the doubt, that's why we're thinking if he's telling the truth and possibly that there could be some benefits that's giving to him while he's inside a cell or a villa or any type of way and place to detain him.
