Good big game Yesterday. Dortmund scored thanks to Bynoe-Gittens' individual flair after coming out of pressure in the front area with a pass. But Nuri Şahin's scoring woes were evident in this match as well. They couldn't keep the lead and conceded a ridiculous goal in the last minutes. Bayern almost would have lost in the end, but it didn't happen again. Bayern's five-game winning streak came to an end, but they still lead with a big point difference. If Eintracht Frankfurt win today, the points difference will be down to 4. That's still a gap of at least two games.
Some big games are always difficult, but such result is always fair for the both teams because the one point is very important in winning title.
I wanted Bayern to equalize early, but Dortmund’s defense were able withstand the pressure from Bayern attackers but they couldn’t hold the pressure till end which has lead to the draw and it’s a fair result for them because Dortmund was able to stop losing, and they can now keep fighting for the title ahead of Leverkusen even though they are still three points behind Leverkusen, but with this performance, if they can be consistent, I am very sure they will be able to challenge Bayern for the title since Leverkusen don’t look so serious this season.
That was a fair result for both Dortmund and Bayern Munich. The draw will make the dynamics of the Bundesliga title race even more complex and competitive. The narrow point difference and the remaining number of matches make it possible for Dortmund to compete again in the Champions League zone. So Bayern Munich won't be leading the league table alone until the end of the season, although they have a higher chance of dominating the Bundesliga again. Dortmund needs to work hard to become a title contender, because statistically, Leverkusen and Eintracht Frankfurt are still better.
Nuri Sahin is slowly starting to adapt to deal with the pressure, and that is very good for his managerial career. Dortmund should not prioritize the Champions League too much, so that they have the potential to lose more points when competing in domestic competitions. I think, if Dortmund is lucky enough to continue to avoid player injuries, they can maintain their performance in the future, and can overcome the tight match schedule.
