There's a report this morning that Spanish and European champions Real Madrid are prepared to offer 21-year-old Spanish defender Raul Asencio a new contract at the club. Since some of the club's senior defenders picked up injury, Carlo Ancelotti have resorted to be using Asencio as Antonio Rudiger's partner in the heart of the club's defense which he's been able to deliver impressive performances. What do you think of this latest development at Santiago Bernabeu? Does Raul Asencio actually worth a new contract extension?
He is worth the contract extension tenth fold, he has actually been in sublime form since his introduction to the side after Militao injury, I think he has settled in perfectly with Rudiger as his pattern. For me he is calm on the ball than most of the senior players, his strong both his duels on the ground and on the air, which will make him not to be over power by most center forwards. He also has the ability to put in those long balls to his attackers and we saw that with his assist to Bellingham on his debut, this and his composure adds him to been a great defender for the future for Madrid. For me he will definitely be a top defender in the future and should be kept for now
They are both in a state of panic to me. Barcelona will be scared of not losing more matches in order to maintain the point difference between them now and Real Madrid will also be serious and be careful not to lose the outstanding matches in order to get above Barcelona on the league standings. The season has really taken a new turn and event and if they cannot both be able to hold on to the pressure, we’ll soon see a very big difference between this two teams on the standings, which will affect one of them mentally if they’re not able to catch up. Seriously I just love the way the league title has taken a new direction, after the first el Classico win many were predicting an easy ride for Barcelona in this campaign, Barcelona themselves were carried away with the crisis at Real Madrid and also got distracted celebrating their rivals collapse, Ancelloti made bold claims that they will compete for every title they are participating in and also dropped a comment that the last time they lost four nil to Barcelona they managed to win the league and champions league, I think at this stage we can’t rule out that happening again
