But at least smoking was banned in public places, planes, trains, and so on. The risk of becoming a passive smoker has decreased.

To bad that electronic cigarettes with different taste becomes more and more popular among youth. Passive smoker risk has decreased, but the number of smoker has increased. Almost always when I see young people, each third smokes colorful disposable e-cigarette. And since manufacturers provide them in different design, color, taste, amount of puffs, the society drawn in them. Instead of smoking a pack of cigarettes a day, they smoke 2-4 disposable e-cigarettes and get a large portion of nicotine.

Those were also becoming popular here in my country, specially in big cities which had their own dedicated stores for smokers to buy their customized flavors and papers easily. Though, it has been a while now since the government itself decided to ban electronic cigarettes and vapers from being used in public areas and they also banned the sale of those same electronic cigarettes in common stores, so now they have become far more difficult for obtain, they have become part of a relalively small dark or underground market in social media like Facebook marketplace or stores advertising themselves on instagram.
We could argue it is authoritarian, and I have the hunch the ban against electronic cigarettes has pushed forward by the already existing national tobacco industry.
