He is involved with projects that are already pro-crypto so it would be confusing if he suddenly had a switch up. He’s being considered because he’s already pro-crypto and doesn’t need to be educated and convinced to join the agenda of maing US a crypto friendly country.
It’s a massive thing to lead SEC but Paul Atkins has already done that before and might not have that on his bucket list anymore. He’s said that he didn’t want to accept because it is a taxing job considering how backward SEC has gone these years. He doesn’t seem to be interested in being involved in fixing it.
