I don't deny what you say but we need to adapt to the current life instead of complaining or fighting against it. Because there is nothing we can do to change the minds of the masses or reverse what is happening, and if we do not want to be eliminated from society, we have no choice but to adapt to things.

If you are married and have children, I believe you will get rid of those thoughts in your head and become a part of today's society. You will rush to make money regardless like everyone else because without money, not only you but also your children will have to live miserable days. Life gives us no choice but to adapt to every change.

I think Op is speaking from the experience of our forefathers' lives, I believe he is not speaking in line with the situation we currently stay in, otherwise, no one would be discussing pursuing character in today's society. When all you have is a good character and no money, does he believe others would realize you exist? I don't believe so; everyone pursues wealth. In some places, if you go after a character, the world will reject you, and you have to adjust to life like everyone else. You can't sit here and say that you're pursuing a good reputation when everyone else is focused on pursuing wealth.

However, marriage is a lot bigger to me. For instance, if a young man sees that people his age are earning money to support their families, he will rush to make money himself. The most important thing we must work for in life is money since without it, no one would respect or know your value, and these days, you could lose those you love because we cannot use characters to provide for our families. So, we must make the right choice.
