For me it doesn't matter whether I'm doing well gambling or not.  Unlike what seems like quite a few people here, I'm not addicted to gambling, so I don't gamble terribly often like it seems many people do here.

Now lets say I'm gambling and I hit a big jackpot, I would more than likely use the proceeds for animal charities, rather than gift it to others, but it depends on how large the winnings are.

That's good if for example you really don't have an addiction which is usually a problem for most gamblers, the point is maybe I would remind anyone including myself to keep gambling with the amount of money that we can really afford to lose, and besides that like what you do is limit the time of involvement in gambling, believe that if you don't gamble too often then your level of interest in gambling and winning will not develop which will keep you from getting addicted.

On the other hand, regarding the problem of winning, I think it depends on each person's personality and also maybe the traditions or habits that are often done by people in their gambling environment, in my place there is no obligation to give part of the winnings to others, but the point is if you really don't mind any traditions or habits that exist in your place then do it.
