It's pretty common lately to see scammers trying to sabotage prominent or popular projects and it gets me overwhelmed negatively!
We're familiar with $XION right? The L1 blockchain centered on user experience. You can read more about it yourself.
https://xion.burnt.com/So, $XION announced TGE for the 5th of December and the moment that announcement was made, tons of phishing links by suspicious accounts started flooding X, talking about redistribution of $XION airdrop and to check for claiming eligibility. One thing I noticed was that they required one to connect their wallets to the link and to be honest, I almost fell for it.
If I hadn't taken a pause and thought it necessary to go check the official page and that of exchanges mentioned by the project team for confirmation, I'd have fallen victim to scammers.
(How can we stop this as it's getting out of hand)
My second observation is this...why are there different prices on $XION pre-trade on different exchanges? I recall the exchange mentioning only Bitget and Bybit for launchpool so, should one trust the other exchanges?
I totally get why you're frustrated with all the phishing attempts and scams targeting $XION. It's crazy how these scammers come out of the woodwork as soon as a project announces something big. Your experience is a great reminder to always double-check info through official channels before doing anything.
And yeah, it's not surprising to see different prices for $XION on different exchanges. Market speculation, liquidity, and other factors can all impact prices. Just remember to stick with official sources, like the project team and reputable exchanges, to get the most accurate info and avoid any potential risks.
