I wanted to bet on Manchester City to win against Nottingham Forest yesterday, but when I remembered Manchester City's recent struggles in the Premier League, I was afraid to bet on them to win against Nottingham Forest, but I regretted my decision when they were winning against Nottingham Forest at Etihad Stadium yesterday. It is a good thing that Manchester City is finding their way back to winning matches in the Premier League; it will improve their confidence to win more matches in the Premier League. Kevin De Bruyne was amazing for Manchester City yesterday; his one goal and one assist helped Manchester City to easily beat Nottingham Forest yesterday.
I know Nottingham Forest have been doing a little bit well since returning back to main league but I never have a single doubt that Manchester City will defeat them. Manchester City is currently running on a bad day streak but winning that game is a must for them to restore their confidence and get back to the game. Despite their bad form, they were the favourite to win and they did. We can not conclude they are back to their winning days but at least the yesterday win will calm the situation and pressure on Pep.
That's the difference between Chelsea and Arsenal. Chelsea is competing for second place but Arsenal is chasing for the title. Liverpool will drop a point. Chelsea might not be able to keep up with their performance because they still have strong games ahead of them. Anyway, next year will tell because the season has just begun. We will see more big teams dropping points next year and that will decide which is in the title race.
How does this sound to you? Isn't it insulting saying Chelsea are competing for second place? Let be fair with Chelsea at least for their performance so far. I know we all judge Chelsea earlier from the performance last season and at the beginning of this season but they've proved everybody wrong with their shocking performance and now they are occupying the third position on the table. Of course, they can not be relied on as usual but despite seeing them second position on the table and assume them as second position fighter is under rating. As long as they maintain their position in the top four with almost similar points with the rest of the clubs, they are contending for whatever thing is Arsenal is contending.
