It's sad to see Mbappe missing a penalty shootout that would lead Real Madrid to a point or two points closer to Barcelona. The Real Madrid players will feel very bad about this because they missed a good 3 points all because of Mbappe's missed penalty. Well, no player who doesn't miss a penalty shootout but for the time being, Ancelotti should appoint another Real Madrid player to be the penalty taker for Real Madrid rather than Mbappe. The case of a missed penalty shootout will be over, and Real Madrid will have their wins in a match when a penalty shootout arises.
Honestly it’s very seeing Mbappé missing a wonderful penalty against Athletic club, I never even understand Mbappé since the time he was signed into the Real Madrid, and although that the guy was doing well when he was plying for PSG is the one of the best players for the teams.
But imagine since the very time he was signed to the Real Madrid the teams performances is not moving as well like before is it that the problem is from Mbappé? Or is Mbappé didn’t understand the playing patterns of Real Madrid players.
Mbappe was able to perform well with PSG and scored a lot of goals. So we thought Mbappe would score more goals with Madrid squad. Because Madrid squad is very stable and Madrid midfield is also strong. But Mbappe is not able to adapt well with Madrid squad. We are not seeing good performance from Mbappe as expected.
Mbappe was able to score a goal within 15 minutes against Atletico Madrid. However, the goal was disallowed. Mbappe failed to score from the penalty spot in the second half. This was completely unexpected and disappointing. Mbappe is under a lot of pressure with Madrid squad. If he performs so poorly consistently, it will not be surprising if Ancelotti does not give Mbappe a place in the starting XI in the future.
