Banks, governments, and really rich people are keeping that game alive... they don't allow people to relax and enjoy life, in that case, it would be much harder to control people. This is how they keep us on a leash...just when we relax some big shit happens and everything goes up in price and normal things become difficult.
We can complain (many do in various ways) but I don't see any benefit from it. Many people simply accept and support this system and it is difficult to fight against that majority.
That is the "futuristic" approach to life, which isn't impossible by the way, but would require a lot of us leaving everything to robotics and AI as well in the future. Remember all the movies you watched, or all the videos and images you saw about the futuristic world.
You can definitely imagine a world, where we no longer need money, everyone has everything they need, and communication and transportation is quite clear, everywhere is green, everything is nice, we do whatever we want to do in life, but for that to mean something, we need to get rid of greed.
Because if you have greed, then even if you have a home, even if you eat whatever you want, even if you have whatever car you want, even if you have the pool, the garden the kids the good education great healthcare whatever, you will want MORE, it's not just about wanting more for yourself, it's about wanting more than others, the feeling of "if this bastard has the same things, then I should have more because I am a better person all around", if you want more, you will never have that dream world and unfortunately humans do want more than each other, they are not looking at what they have of their own, they look at what others have and want more.
