Just wondering what the market is now.  They used to go for a premium above 1 BTC, like 1.25, for example.  I haven't been following lately, but I wonder how the market is presently and whether there is even a market given the risk associated with trying to sell a +$100k asset to a stranger.  Are there reliable escrow services, for example?  Seems like peeling and selling the redeemed coin might be the only way.

Yep, that all seems to be the overall issue at the moment... And, since BTC is so high, the premiums have shrunk, so may not be worth it.

Stacks & Bowers, or maybe Heritage Auctions could sell it for ya at some (?) premium, but still not sure it's worth it anymore... It seems to be either peel and sell the "carcass" (lol) or hodl it lately. Tongue

I think we are in a "holding pattern" when it comes to physical cryptos.
Current btc and even fiat premiums are pretty much dead or get eaten up in premiums to the auction house or courier/escrow, etc.
If you do indeed "need to sell" at this point, peel, redeem and then keep the carcass for posterity or auction it off.
I imagine that with some waiting and once a few more items get peeled, we will see the resurgence of premiums... it may not be in btc, but definitely we will see the true numismatic value of our "hobby tokens" Cheesy Cool
