While I agree with your point that Trump's support for Bitcoin is only to make money from it. I do not think you understand that Trump was never after Bitcoin for votes as his campaign was largely funded by the Church and a few entrepreneurs who are inclined towards Bitcoin.
Sometimes I really don't like to argue in discussions concerning the view of politicians towards bitcoin that's because even if they have enthusiastic or profit minded intentions , time will actually tell. Anyways judging based on the hype on social media platforms like twitter, Trump seemed to have had bitcoin in mind even before the election. Also based on this, and also on how rapid and strong the pump and momentum has been, it's easy to say he's a supporter.
Some people till now still have the opinion that bitcoin will still create another ATH before the year runs out and there is actually still a chance that it might happen. Everyone has profit in mind but it's not nice if it's you sole purpose as a big firm without recognising the effects of your actions on the network.
We can see what Trump does with something in the space as with WLF, and it was no good as far as I know.
So, Trump is no messiah. He is just a figure on the chessboard.
And big firms will not be that too - they will squeeze the profit when the time comes, just like with the dip today.
