I don't want to believe that Kylian Mbappe's struggles since he arrived Real Madrid is caused by pressure. When the France international was still with his former club Paris Saint Germaine, he was sharing the pitch with the likes of Lionel Messi and Neymar but he still delivered great performances. I want to believe that Mbappe's inability to live up to the expectations of many might be caused by something beyond the reach of the public but I believe in the abilities of the France national team captain and I believe he'll bounce back to his best in no distant time.
Great players like Luca Modric, Karim Benzema, and even Zinedine Zidane struggled in their first season in Madrid before they became outstanding. Benzema was unknown in the club because he couldn't compete with players like Cristiano Ronaldo. Zidane also faced the same struggle until he finally stood on his feet.
Fans are expecting so much from Kylian Mbappe but they forget that there is a big difference between La Liga and Ligue One. Not every player will adapt immediately to a change in league. The French international need more time to understand the Spanish league. He should start getting criticism after this season. He is still young, if he puts more effort, fosters good relationships with other players and remain humble, he would end up becoming a Real Madrid icon.
