In the end Liverpool must be prepared if Mo Salah really leaves. The Red management has not yet responded to Mo Salah contract, meaning there is a possibility that they do not intend to extend it. Not because Liverpool does not need him, but Liverpool wants to try to go through a transition phase at the right time so as not to be left behind by other teams that have already done so.
If Liverpool wants to go through a transition phase, is not including Mohammed Salah a good Idea for the team? For all i know, Mohammed Salah has sacrificed a lot for Liverpool and he has always been on the score sheet whenever he is fit to play and moreover, is not even as if any top team in Europe want to sign him but just the Saudi team that is very much interested in signing him. Whatever Liverpool has become now, Mohammed Salah is among the very few players that made it happen because he was very active for the club when Jurgen Klopp was the team's head coach and even after he left the club, his awesome job is still working for the team and he was literally the coach that bring out the best in Mohammed Salah.
They definitely need Mo Salah to go through any phase they're thinking of even though it's just for another year or two with the club, he deserves it and his devotion and commitment to the team can tell he's still very interested in playing for the team and achieving success with them. Mo have been one of the key to Liverpool's success and the board needs to acknowledge that, even though they might be taking their time to evaluate the structure of a new deal for Mo Salah, they shouldn't make the mistake of letting him leave yet, cause it something they could end up regretting later. I feel the board would only want to sell Salah just to cash in on him based on the offer the Saudi clubs would be presenting else I see no reason for stalling on renewing his contract they should even be happy he didn't accept the offer from the Saudi clubs and try for force a transfer in the previous summer window.
