I know Donald trump becoming the president of US will really make good impact to the bitcoin market. Do you think such like mixers, exchanges , and others related to bitcoin will also benefit in terms of regulation?
No matter how much a president is a crypto supporter, he will definitely not allow anything that has a negative role. If someone compromises on anonymity, then he will definitely be hindered in managing the country. Terrorist activities including money laundering from anonymity can increase on a large scale all over the country. In recent times, many casino gambling platforms have also made KYC mandatory. And the main reason for this is that no one can remain anonymous. That is why none of us can say now that we can truly conduct gambling anonymously. Of course, governments will never support anonymity. Even though Trump is a Bitcoin fan, he will definitely never allow such a thing.
Anonymity would have been great except for the illicit business that it attracts to the ecosystem. There would be no reason for Trump to see that'll change the way government views mixers and its likes, which is being used to close criminal traces. However, mixing services will be around, but won't benefit like Btc did. KYC is increasingly demanded on top crypto financial settings, and it'll be a worthless thing for mixing companies to comply, since it spoils the whole point of the service.
