I have a new perspective towards what it means to keep things private. I am thinking that keeping things private does not always mean keeping things to yourself. Before you criticize, I know that to have someone as trusted as that is rare and almost impossible, but they still exist, and sometimes you can find that person in your spouse. If you can share important details like passwords of bank account or safe, or grant them access to important documents, should we not also be able to trust these people with access to our bitcoin wallet?

When you keep things private, it's because you are trying to hide from people or making people stay away from you. Been a private person allow people to give you a maximum respect, nobody will know anything about you unless the ones you tell them and this will help you protect you from the dangers around you. Imagine telling your neighbor that does kidnapping low key that you have 10 btc, you will be in your house one day and you will be rob and kill.

Privacy means you are limiting people from accessing your lifestyle the way they want, if you don't want people to know that you have a huge amount of money, the best for you is to take your risk level seriously and how do you do that, just don't make people knows everything about you and everything of you but it doesn't mean you can't be friends but give them limitations on how you want to leave your life so you can have that respect in check.
