Your point really nails how out-of-touch folks can get about this stuff.  Take your buddy as an example - dude is all about the celeb scene, but doesnt think much on what it took those stars to shine.  Blood, sweat, tears... you name it.  He is living in dreamland if he thinks boatloads of benjamins got sailed his way for kicks.  But spaced-out wishes wont pay the bills.  Want the bucks? Gotta put in the work.  Simple as that.  Those just fantasizing about being flush while they stay parked on the couch? Kinda sad.
