I actually was thinking for about a minute or two after reading this comment, and indeed, I came to the realization that what you said is absolutely right.
It makes more sense to me for gamblers to learn to control their money in gambling, rather than control emotion, and I say this is because, from my thought, I realized that controlling emotions when there is excess money to be spent can be very tough, and this is why many fail woefully at this because they can't get their emotions to that standstill point when they can just put more money into the game.
So, learning to control the amount of money we are willing to lose to a game, might indeed, be the root solution to a more responsible gambling experience.
