I have a new perspective towards what it means to keep things private. I am thinking that keeping things private does not always mean keeping things to yourself. Before you criticize, I know that to have someone as trusted as that is rare and almost impossible, but they still exist, and sometimes you can find that person in your spouse. If you can share important details like passwords of bank account or safe, or grant them access to important documents, should we not also be able to trust these people with access to our bitcoin wallet?
I understood your point. Although, I might argue that trust is unclear concept because everyone has their own definition of it. it is also not an absolute concept, because your trust to someone might change overtimes. In this case, I will only share my password to one of my main family member like wife/husband and children, and I have to believe them first, that they have enough comprehension about how Bitcoin and cryptocurrency works, primarily its risks and possible dangers like scam. In case something bad happen to me one day, and I might not be here or can't function normally any longer, I would not give the control of my Crypto Assets to someone who doesn't know much about it, I'm afraid that they will make bad investment decision with it or worse, lose all of it to scam.
