I do not think that Atletico Madrid will pass Barcelona, that would be a bit too much. I get how it looks like Real could do that, it's clear that Barcelona had a bad period and they are hoping to get better results, but it would be very very tough for ATM to pass Barcelona, that would require both teams to keep their momentum for a while longer, Barcelona to keep losing or getting draws, and atm to keep on winning more and more, that seems like unlikely if you ask me but of course it's football, anything could happen.
Not that I love Barcelona too much, I am neither Spanish nor catalan, so I don't care, but I do hate industrial football and the "pay to win" aspect of it, so I would rather see Barcelona win this season than Real Madrid.
It is difficult to create consistency and even more difficult to maintain it. But Atletico have one postponed match that will give them the opportunity to match Barcelona points. The defending champions Real Madrid are the same, if they manage to secure full points in the postponed match, then Barcelona position at the top of the standings will be displaced. I think, that scenario could happen, because the season is still very long.
It is important to underline, that Barcelona benefits from the situation, Hansi Flick gets the ease to create a turning point in La Liga performance, because their journey in the Champions League is smoother than the Madrid duo. So Barcelona is still in the right momentum to continue to lead the La Liga standings, even though their position in the future could be displaced. Real Madrid luxury squad has not been able to work optimally to produce a consistent number of points due to being hit by a storm of player injuries.
