Putin and Russia do not want war. Rather, they want peaceful and honest trade.
The US used Ukraine starting in 2014 to attack Russia. Russia was patient for a long time, but finally had to fight back.
It was the same with Oreshnik. Ukraine attacked into Russia, and Russia waited. Finally they used Oreshnik in Dnipro to show that they were not playing around.
Nobody wants war when it is better to trade peacefully. But as long as the US keeps on pushing war, there is the chance that they will push Russia too far.

The introduction of the Oreshnik missile system in Russia reduces the need to use nuclear weapons to a minimum, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said.
Putin made the remarks on Tuesday at a meeting of the Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights.
Russia is not tightening, but improving its nuclear doctrine, Putin said regarding the recent update to the country’s nuclear posture. He explained that Russia needs to improve its new missile system more than it does its nuclear doctrine.
“What we need now is not to improve the nuclear doctrine, but the Oreshnik, because, if you look at it, a sufficient number of these modern systems… simply put us on the brink of virtually no need to use nuclear weapons,” the president stated.
The Russian leader has warned that the use of Western-supplied long-range missiles would drastically “change the nature” of the Ukraine conflict and insisted that such sophisticated weapon systems could not be operated without the direct involvement of NATO personnel.

If we did not want a war, we would not have climbed into Ukraine in 2014 and now in 2022. Putin deserved a fate like Gaddafi's.
