I would say that Chelsea's improvement is possible because of Enzo Maresca. Enzo is a great coach. Honestly, none of us thought that we would see such a great performance from Chelsea this season. I didn't even think that Chelsea would be able to come in the top four of the table. Due to Enzo's excellent match strategy, Chelsea's overall performance is now very stable. This team is performing well consistently. That is why Chelsea is now in the second place of the table.
Everything is going well for Chelsea right now because they have a good coach who also happens to have a good strategy and has also succeeded in unveiling this strategy to his player who have in turn utilized it for the club that's why you see the team playing so good. Unlike last season when Mauricio pochettino was the coach, they had to struggle to win matches because pochettino didn't engage the right strategies and at such the team couldn't succeed under him. Should they maintain this consistent wins they probably catch-up with Liverpool at the top.
Maresca showed a good start with Chelsea, their journey seems smooth in the current Premier League competition so that they are able to be in 2nd position in the standings, but this temporary achievement cannot be separated from the declining performance of Man City and Arsenal, maybe if Man City showed their usual performance, that position could be difficult for Chelsea to get at this time, but in any case I appreciate their good improvement at this time and I take my hat off to Maresca who can do his job very quickly. I am sure that next season the Blues can be one of the strong candidates.
Of course, football is a game of chance and Chelsea were smart enough to take their chances after Manchester city and arsenal failed to take theirs and ended up loosing their place at the top, it's been a very long while that Chelsea occupied this position in the premier league and this goes to show how much Chelsea has improved as a team and are still improving day after day. And perhaps if they maintain this pace till the end of the season then they will end up securing their place in the champions league once again which will be a great achievement for coach Enzo Maresca and his team.
