Yeah, despite the level of performance Leverkusen pulled off last season winning the bundesliga trophy without losing a single league match, still, they don't match in comparison with Bayern Munich who have won the bundesliga back to back, whereas Leverkusen by way of their drop in form this season doesn't seem like they could pull such show because right now they're sitting 7 points beneath Bayern Munich and am convinced Munich isn't dropping points for Leverkusen to close in on them.
I can conclude that Leverkusen are only focused on the UCL, and that is not entirely good, they do it because that is a very Madridista way of thinking, I know that in the UCL the level is higher, they have already won the Bundesliga, they have to go for the UCL, but they still have a long way to go, I see Bayern at a very high level and it is difficult for them to dethrone them, however, everything is possible in this life and more so in football, I would like Xabi to react and concentrate on the Bundesliga as well, to make history as it should be.
I think there's nothing wrong in aiming higher, they already have a bundesliga title and now they are anticipating the champions League which I think is good for them. It has been a very long time since they got to this point, at least there is nothing wrong in having huge aspirations. Perhaps they want to prove a point in European football after becoming runners up in the Europa League, they also want to try their luck in the champions league which would be a great improvement for the German side who were one of best teams in Europe last season.
