their defeat to Lazio has left them in 2nd place at the moment, a disappointing result, but in football winning and losing is a common thing, so this doesn't surprise me at all. Well, some time ago they also slipped and now they lost in the last week. In terms of appearance, there are actually no serious problems that I see, but what they are currently showing is not enough to make them comfortable at the top of the standings, meaning they must always improve their performance and one more thing they must remember, they must be able to maintain consistency.
Changes in the Serie A standings are very likely to occur every week. Moreover, the points difference for each team currently competing at the top of the standings is very small. Winning and losing will affect the ranking. I think this is what makes Serie A this season even more interesting. Atalanta scored more goals but they also conceded very often in each match, the chances of Inter or Fiorentina who still have a difference of 1 match are very likely to catch Atalanta at the top of the standings.
This is true, we have seen top teams be too close, and because of that we are going to see every team have a different approach these days and any team that loses points, either losing the game or even a draw, could switch up positions. This is quite fun, having this many teams competing for the top spot is not something we have seen that commonly in the big leagues recently, most of the team one team just dominates the league for a whole season, to have something like this is very entertaining.
I hope to see this grow even further, like end p with bunch of teams by week 30 would be amazing. But I am not sure if they would still be this close after that many weeks, we will probably see plenty of them just drop and only a couple of them will stay.
