We've all been newbies on this forum at some point. Why has it suddenly become a problem and there is drama because the newbie can't quickly raise their rank and reputation? Should we change the rules made 15 years ago, because the gentle souls of newcomers do not have a few months of patience?
Even if it were considered in some madness, it would be ideal for fraudsters. Starting a topic like this is proof that a Newbie doesn't understand the forum, and that's just another reason why reputation and rank build up over time.
Those of you who are legends have been on the forum for a long time, but newbies who want to gain fame in a few days are not possible. It takes a lot of time to learn the rules and regulations of the forum and about all kinds of activities in the forum. The forum and work can only be achieved after some time. Nowadays, many new members talk a lot about gaining fame in the forum, but there is no point in saying these things, I think because to gain fame in the forum, you have to learn a lot, give time, and have a newbie account has to be old, but slowly he will move towards gaining fame.
The rules created 15 years ago should remain the same because newbies do not have patience, they will not be able to gain fame here if they lose patience. To gain fame, you have to be patient, you have to spend a lot of time on the forum. Will those who do not have patience be able to gain fame even if the rules and regulations are changed? There is no need to change the rules of 15 years ago; only those who can devote time to the forum and have patience can achieve fame.
Although Am a newbie, I also devote a lot of time to the forum. I always follow those of you who are legends and try to follow the forum guidelines. Even after trying to follow everything, I sometimes need to correct things. I now understand that to achieve fame, you must learn a lot and spend time on forums.
To become a Legendary w/ a 2021 registration date by now would mean posting just about every day (or at least 14 times per 2 weeks) since then, along with accumulating an average of ~1 merit every day... No easy feat really. It requires a lot of commitment to going beyond shitposting, which is a step most accounts here aren't willing to take. They are here because its "easy money"... once you have to put effort into it its no longer "easy" anymore. So they will never get beyond Sr. Member or Hero and they don't care.
I think it took me at least 4 years to get to Legendary based on the speed of my posting, which was intermittent. I don't think merits would have been a factor but who knows.
I was very motivated after reading a post by a legend a few days ago. While exploring the forum, I found that post I bookmarked. I read there that it took him four years to become a legend in this forum. In that post, he explained how he became a legend and how to become a legend. I looked at that post very carefully and kept it. When I saw that post by nutildah, he slowly progressed towards becoming a legend by being patient and working hard through his time on the forum. Many others like him have become legends of the forum. I don't know everyone's journey to becoming a legend, but I liked what I saw and am sharing it with them. nutildah's post is very useful if you want to do something good on the forum and progress towards becoming a legend.
