As usual, game of luck. Airdrops dashed people's hope especially with hamster and since then, I know many lost interest to continue taping or trying to earn through mining programs. Hamster push many people away from telegram mining and since then nothing much have happened from distributed airdrops. I won't be hopeful for airdrops because just when you are expecting something great from it, it dashes such hope.

These airdrops are continuum. What many project developers do is to rally around a successful project and copycat the template for another.  We saw the likes of $DOGS and MONEYDOGS which was started as a result of the successful launch and performance of the DOGS project. We also have the likes of X Empire, and RockyRabbit who also took some bucks from the participants or users but ended with a disappointing allocation as a result.

Unfortunately, there's no any regulatory agency or online police set to regulate or serve as watch dogs to these senile projects who rally around the successful ones. It's a trend they follow. That does not mean that there are no real or big airdrop projects yet. But these big projects do not surface as much as the fake or unserious projects.
