Hey Ruben, you made a mistake. If you don't win, the coach goes while the players remain. Those set of players you see there have succeeded in sacking upto 4 managers but they are still in the club with their bogus salaries. So, be warned and very careful. Do your best to succeed because Manchester United fans are already out of patience. They don't need to many preachings but they need results. Get positive results by any means possible.

Win or whatever else happens is a loss. He didn't get signed by a club that has a promising future. Maybe he was promised that it is fine to fail in the first one or two years, but then he is making such bold statements, which I think are not the best way to communicate. He should not talk about a dark future instead, but maybe be more quiet about specific goals in the immediate future. If he now raises the bar so much, how can it end well for him? But I think he could be overestimating his personal influence on the team and on the club as a whole. I am not blaming him as I don't anyone would refuse an offer from a Premier League club, but he was in a great position with Sporting and he is young. He could have waited and probably would have received a better offer from another club at the end of the season. Who knows what he would have been able to achieve with Sporting.
