because there was a bug in the diff adjustment. blocks were mined much faster than 45sec, so 10k blocks were reached in only 2 days instead of 5.
disadvantage for the value of this coin in my opinion, because the distribution was to short. in only 2 days it's also very hard to create a big and strong community around this coin. now there are few bigger shareholders, instead of more smaller shareholders.
