In the past, Manchester United failed to scout and sign younger talents but rather went for overrated players which didn't turn out well, but i think this new Sporting management of the club led by Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his crew are beginning to figure out the errors made by the previous management (Glaziers) and seeking possible solution, so i believe that's why they're beginning to prioritize younger talents over made players that would be signed for a huge figure yet they won't make much impact to the team, it's a welcome development and highly needed concerning the transition stage they're currently in, Ruben Amorin would be pleased with this cause he needs younger talents who would hit the ground running and blend in immediately they come in for him to succeed as a manager here.
Many clubs are beginning to look into prioritizing young players over older players who would make up their team squad for long term purposes because it is much better to have a coach who will use his hands to groom the players to the formation he wants, over time they will fit into the position he wants them to be, instead of having older players who would keep messing up without showing good results in the pitch. However, all these would take time before the results would manifest, I believe Manchester United management and fans would trust the process rather than being in a hurry to call for the sack of Amorim when the young players haven't mastered each other playing patterns
