The Manchester City manager already knew that their club currently lacks a good midfielder and the one he can rely on is injured so why didn't he spend some money and bring another midfielder to his club. If spending money was a problem for him, then he could have brought in players by borrowing from other clubs, but the club would not have had such a big problem.
