I agree that Liverpool has not been doing well lately which has given other teams chance to catch up.
Look at their schedule, EFL cup, Bayer, and Real in the CL league, in the last 8 matches they played against 5 out of the 6 teams behind them at the top, City, Aston, Arsenal,Chelsea, they had the worst schedule you can think of, it easy recouping points when you play the last teams in the league and harder to stay at top when you're facing the top one after the other.
