Out of curiosity, what VPS do you use? While i can easily find VPS which offer 8 core/32GB RAM at slightly higher price, usually it comes with much smaller storage.

Use storage from a cloud provider - you'll get better results than a shared disk, unless your VPS is doing heavy computations on the data.    For a VPS, you should buy the best processor/RAM you can afford.
