They might to be honest. I mean, they are at war with Ruzzia so destroying Ruzzia's economy and equipment is fighting for them. I do not think however that these two regimes have anything in common in that sense - one is a liberal democracy, pro-western while the other seems an Islamic regime.

There are some promising news regarding Ruzzia not being able to negotiate with the new regime to keep the bases. I am sure Anthony Blinken is going to be busy making sure that is the case.
