Focusing on making money means being fully aware of: 1. What do I have? (What can be converted into money); 2. What do I want? (Money); 3. What am I willing to give? (Time, energy, money, emotions, etc.)

Sometimes it is driven by a desire to provide better things for your children, other times it is an inherent hustler mentality that is always seeking out new opportunities or maybe an entrepreneurial flare that is successful. There are too many different reasons to list, but the crux of the answer is that everyone wants more money in life because it gives you so many more choices and I am not sure that there is a particular kind of person that would not want to earn more. I'd say the older you get the more you realize your life will be defined about the value you can create from your existing wealth and whether your career alone will unlock increasing amounts, or you have to switch jobs or maybe even take on additional work to raise your income.
