Going by the statistics, Ademola lookman has been doing remarkable well for himself, that hat trick against Bayern Leverkusen in that UEFA Europa final really brought him to an incredible limelight. I saw Atalanta's last match in the UEFA Champions League encounter with Real Madrid, Lookman was all dazzling with an incredible moves and passes in and out of the Madrid defence line, a match they lost 3-2 but he was still recognised and given match of the match because of his exceptional brilliance. Is good to see him wearing the Yoruba native attire. Congratulations champ.
He was actually unmatched by any other African player out there last season, and even uptil this moment,  when the list of players, I mean the potential winners of this year African best came out, I was discussing with a guy in my neighborhood that it's a one way victory for ademola lookman, because he is actually miles ahead of the rest in terms of achievement, numbers, goals/assist and even form presently, so in my own opinion, it's very much deserving for him to be crown this year African best.
I am sure that the other contenders of the CAF men's player of the year award were already aware that they had no chance of winning this award when lookman is in the equation. It's just like African goalie of the year, even though we are Nigerians and tries to project our super eagles goal keeper who was sensational both at the AFCON and after the after, it was still evident that Williams deserves it more.

This award is whY you see and spot out credibility and not what's the case with the balon d'or when some indices that ought not to be considered is used to rule out certain player. This win for Ademola lookman is a huge one for Nigeria and for the other Nigerians like the super falcons goalie that has come out two straight times as African safest hands, it's a huge victory for the nation. The coming edition will be more fieced because moh salah will be very much a part of the equation but at the end, the fate of the winner will still hing more on what playes out at the AFCON and the coming world cup qualification.
