If anyone has good articles, podcasts, or research papers on these topics, I’d love some recommendations. I’d like to arm myself with more than just the “99% are scams” argument to engage in thoughtful and productive discussions.

Thank you in advance for any insights!

If your friends has made their first profit from altcoins, leave them and let them be. People come to crypto to come and make money and not to come and choose which one is better. You know better because you invested in knowledge and understand Bitcoin than them, you are also here because this is a Bitcoin forum but if you have the friends that can risk $200 to AI coins and make $1000 in profits, I'm sorry you can't convince them because the money is what they will believe.

However, for educational purposes, you can share them, if they care about decentralization, privacy, censorship resistance, risk of investment, they will definitely want to read anything you share them but as I said, if they have made money from AI altcoins, Bitcoin will be hard for them to invest because they will be comparing the profit ratio to other coins with small market cap.
