Bayern Munich suffered a surprise defeat. No one should be blamed for this because they are the only ones to blame. They played ineffectively throughout the match. They actually played well but the Mainz defense was very good, they couldn't get past them. Of course the Bundesliga is a 34-match marathon. Of course there can be such defeats, the important thing is that they are not too many. They are not very good in the Champions League this year either. The players need to learn from their mistakes and look at the matches ahead.
I know that the absence of Kane has brought some adverse effects to the goal chances of the club since the player started suffering injury lately. Kane has been highly useful and active when it comes to goal scoring so not having him on the pitch kinda caused that slow goal making process. I was though expecting other strikers to cover for him and lead during his absence but that kinda showed the deficiency in the team. It is surprising because of the long-term it took to be able to break the winning streak of 13 games marked by the Munich side and no one was really expecting the disruptor to be Mainze club.
