Bayern is a big favourite with odds of x1.33, while betting on Leipzig, you can pocket x7.50. I think bookies underestimate Leipzig team a bit. Leipzig are horribly inconsistent this season, especially when we consider all competitions (i.e. including the Champions League) but they still have one of the best defence in Bundesliga (second only to Bayern) and they noted a good performance last weekend when they earned 3 points on Eintracht (something that Bayern failed to do, as they drew with Frankfurt 3-3 back in October).
Bookies have really underestimated Leipzig giving them that much odds, they are inconsistent but it’s not as if they are 10th place or 13th place in the league they are 4th place with just a few points behind them so I expect the bookies to give Leipzig a lesser odd but if the bookies give them 7.50 odds then they must have their reasons to do that. Leipzig are the away team but in their past meetings Leipzig have always been a stubborn team against Bayern Munich and have also won them at Allianz Arena on multiple occasions. Bayern Munich are not at their fullest best but the availability of their striker Harry Kane will be a huge boost to them because they have missed him and his goals.
However, Leipzig is not a small opponent against Bayern Munich because Bayern only win one match against Leipzig out of their last five matches they played, and Leipzig was able to win two and drew two against Bayern; this means that it will be a tough encounter for both of them, and Bayern will want to win so as to maintain their position in the Bundesliga table.
Maybe the bookies didn’t consider all the stats and were focused on this season performance, I think they have their reasons but Leipzig will not make it easy for Bayern in this game it will be an interesting game to watch but Bayern Munich will try to maintain their position and try not to drop points at home.
