The frontline and backline position of Manchester City has been in a declining mood for the past few months, which has affected them in the fight for the Champions League and Premier League trophy.
Currently, they are being considered a weak team that can be kicked out of the Champions League and possibly kicked out as the Premier League title race contender. However, there seems to be hope for them by next season, not this season anyway, for them to continue with the fight for the Premier League and Champions League trophy contestants
I also doubt Man city for this season. But I hope they can at least qualify for the next stage even though they have to go through the play-offs first. And actually this week Man City really faced a tough challenge. because they have to collect full points so they can stay in the play-off zone. But it will be a little difficult with their current condition considering that the team they will face is also a strong team, namely PSG.
Luckily, PSG also experienced a series of poor results in the UCL. So I will not favor anyone in this match. Because for me these two teams make me doubt.
I'm not sure Manchester City are strong contenders for the Champions League trophy anymore. Even Pep Guardiola contract extension and Rodri return to the first team squad are no guarantees of finishing the Champions League season with a trophy. Things have changed and Pep Guardiola can't stay in his prime forever. The blows that continue to hit Manchester City are not over yet. If PSG want to join the party like the other teams then their job is to beat Manchester City.
Maybe, City will finish this season without any trophy and that isn't something new. City is confused and don't know where their problem lies. How I wish Rodri can come back from injury and let's confirm if really he is the engine room, or City is bound to face difficulties during this period. I don't see City having the quality to win PSG, but they can still surprise us.
The only surprise I have learned about Manchester City recently is for them to lose their match. No other surprise I have seen them given in their last 11 matches.
It will be hard for anyone to give it all for Manchester City to win against PSG. What most of us would do, is to stay clear of adding Manchester City vs PSG game to their bet because the match is unpredictable, not ascertain about the team that wins the match .
I want to point out that Rodri is not only the engine room player of Manchester City. There are other engine room players like Kelvin De Bruyne, Haaland, Silva, and Foden, in the squad, yet Manchester City is still losing their matches. Manchester City's problem is not about Rodri's injury. The players of Manchester City are exhausted, they need some rest rather than playing two different matches(PL and UEFA) without much time for one to prepare themselves
