Losing Mudryk may not affect Chelsea's performance too much but as a football fan I am quite sad to see players who are caught using banned substances even though it is very detrimental to them and also the team I mean if he is absent then Chelsea still pays him a salary even though he does not contribution, just like Pogba's case where Juventus still pays him a salary even though he does not contribution, but also with this case the players will be more careful because if a scandal occurs it will ruin their careers.
Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca said he trusted Mykhailo Mudryk and that he didn't intentionally take banned substances. And the Ukrainian international is also claiming that he took those substances with no intention to use it to improve his game. This is usually the case for players, they always deny until investigation proves otherwise.

Players salaries in such situations could be complex. In the case of Paul Pogba, his salary was later slashed from €10m per year to €24k yearly. Benjamin Mendy who was accused of rape had his salary stopped by Manchester City all through he had the problem until his contract was terminated. He was lucky to win the case challenging his former club's decision not to pay him and the court instructed the club to pay him. I also believe that Chelsea will not feel the impact of the absence of trust in Mykhailo Mudryk because he has not been consistent in his performance.
