Liverpool are currently the top contender for the championship. I assume most people share the same opinion as me. 
They are currently the only team without a loss and winning 6 out of 6 games so far.
However it is still too early to be very confident about something of course. This is only league phase. Even the top teams not performing very well these days can start playing much more differently later on. Such as Real Madrid.

This season it's Liverpool that has showed that they're the club that deserve to be the champions. Their performance has being second to none and they're not newbies in the champions league that you'll be saying that they're going to flop it. They're 6 times champions and among some of the recent winners of the competition therefore since they're showing signs of being a top contender, they'll go all the way to try to win it. Their challenge will be, how they'll be handing the pressure for the premier league title and also the champions league title as I don't think they'll be able to win the two. They'll have to give up on one to put all their focus on the other.
