The champions league is a totally different atmosphere all together and many teams can attest to this because I have seen many teams that have performed poorly in the premier league but when they get to the champions league the whole form changes and I think Real Madrid is one of those teams. For now even if the draws for the round of 16 comes out I think Liverpool can take on any of the big teams because they have shown that they are stable enough.
Some of the teams in the top 8 of the standings will likely ensure they qualify for the round of 16 after the 7th match, while some others may go down to the playoffs, depending on the results. In the playoffs, of course, there are lots of big teams that will fight each other to compete for tickets to the top 16, so whoever qualifies automatically for the top 16 will likely meet other big teams who might be able to qualify for the top 16 in the playoff scheme.
Liverpool and Barcelona have a real chance of qualifying for the round of 16, of course considering the number of points they have achieved in 6 matches. Arsenal, Leverkusen, Inter and several others are still in doubt because both of them have the same points. There are at least 6 teams with 13 points currently and they will definitely fight and ensure they qualify without having to play the playoffs.
