He was sentenced to a 1 year suspended sentence so unfortunately - no jail time this time.
Any bets that he keeps up and eventually will have to serve time? https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2024/dec/19/craig-wright-man-who-falsely-claimed-to-be-bitcoin-creator-sentenced-for-continuing-to-sue-developers

Wright refused to show up in person.. so maybe the court was not imposing the actual prison because they were having trouble getting physical custody over Wright, and if Wright is still cooperating by attending by video conference, then the court might be reluctant to actually impose the prison sentence... He also ONLY has two weeks to pay his £145k fine.
Yeah it’s possible that the reason why the court’s decision not to immediately impose the prison sentence on Wright could be because so far they’ve not been able to take physical custody of Wright since he’s been only cooperating via video conference. It could also be that the court is waiting tans maybe giving Wright the chance to comply with the imposed fine, since it might likely reduce the likelihood of the prison sentence if eventually he complied with paying the £145k. So probably we’ll be able to know the court’s final verdict in 2 weeks,  which is the duration Wright was given to comply with the fine.
