But they are much more practical than OP's advice and I believe that even if people are discussing the philosophies OP mentions but no one will implement them. It's men's nature, when they are stuck they will often turn to alcohol, girls...or any other pleasure and that will help them relieve everything quickly .
Only women find these things pointless and useless, but as men , I believe any of us have tried one of these things when feeling stuck in life and the effectiveness it brings.
But you are right , this is not a long term solution but at least it will help us in the short term .
How exactly will it help? Help to distract oneself, help to dive into some other activities and emotions? Well, that could help to cope easier with losses, but it definitely won't help to prevent such situation to repeat again. And in the end it turns out that the one who faced a huge loss tries to put a band-aid on an open fracture. Will it be effective? I doubt it, because it won't change the situation radically.
