Actually this is a win for the PCB, and the BCCI has reasons to be unhappy about it. India not travelling to Pakistan is nothing new, and by now the PCB and ICC has accepted this reality. But under the new deal, Pakistan will not travel to India as well. And they will not face any sort of monetary penalties for that. So in short, this deal is win-win for Pakistan, as it puts them at an equal level as India. BCCI actually wanted Pakistan to visit India, while proposing the hybrid model only for tournaments hosted by Pakistan.
I don't know. Seems like a loss for them since they stand to gain big financial incentives whenever both teams clash in India though I could be wrong. Them succumbing to BCCI and ICC proves that they aren't on an equal plane.
Anyway, I am just glad to see this entire mess getting resolved as expected and am looking forward to both teams clashing in the future.
