Well I guess that is why folks prefer keeping the price low and building the buy-side order-book strong rather than higher.

If there is expected to be a threat of dumps all the way up maybe slow strong building is going to be the best way to go all the way instead of piling higher but thinner columns of offers although those too sometimes work to trigger a dump and thus hopefully bring us closer to absorbing any anyone still wants to dump.
